Become a Monthly Sponsor
Being ready to respond to needs and opportunities in Haiti is dependant upon having sufficient resources. Maintaining these resources requires a solid and stable income from loyal supporters. As a monthly sponsor you will be helping meet the needs of the organized poor in Haiti every day with your monthly gift! Every contribution we receive, whether large or small, is important! Even a small monthly sponsorship is especially valuable because it helps provide a foundation of financial stability that allows us to carry out our mission of helping the organized poor of Haiti help themselves!
Monthly sponsors receive our e-newsletter, our periodic print newsletters, regular updates on the projects we support, and invitations to PIP events in their areas. To become a monthly sponsor return to the donations page, select the “monthly sponsor” option, choose the level of your sponsorship, and follow the instructions to complete the donation process. You can make a gift to PIP to commemorate a special event such as a birthday or anniversary of a family member or special friend. Just make your gift at the donations page and send us an e-mail at info@PIPHaiti.org to let us know the occasion and person you want to remember. PIP will send an acknowledgement to you (for tax purposes) and a separate special acknowledgement to the person you designate in honor of the special occasion!
You can make a gift to PIP in memory of a friend or loved one. Just make your gift at the donations page and send us an email at info@PIPHaiti.org telling us in whose memory you’re making the gift. You will receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes and the person you designate will receive a separate specialized acknowledgement.
If you would like to organize a fund raising event (such as a speaker, slide presentation, silent auction, or craft sale) to benefit PIP send us an email at info@PIPHaiti.org and we’ll try to help with the organization and in any other ways we can!
A simple but effective way to raise money for PIP projects is to host a house party for your friends or neighbors in your own home. Successful house parties don’t require elaborate preparations or expensive refreshments. Rather they depend on your enthusiasm for PIP’s work and your willingness to share information about PIP’s work! PIP is occasionally able to accept “in kind” gifts but only if they are useful for projects in Haiti or the PIP office. Used computers and other office equipment (such as copy machines, printers, scanners, digital projectors) may be useful. Laboratory equipment and school or office supplies may also be useful. Medicines that are NOT EXPIRED or due to expire soon and medical supplies are often needed.
