Become a “STONE SOUP” Partner The story of the “stone soup” that began with just a pot of water and a stone into which each passersby is invited to add a “little bit” is the inspiration for the “STONE SOUP“ fund. “Stone Soup” partners contribute $5 a month (or more if they choose) and encourage their friends to do the same so that the day to day operational expenses of Partners in Progress and Rich in Mercy are assured and so that we can continue to provide the educational outreach and resource support needed to advance and accelerate the model of sustainable development based on the experience of the Association of Peasants of Fondwa (APF).  Stone Soup partners receive our e-newsletter, our periodic print newsletters, regular updates on the projects we support, and invitations to PIP events in their areas.  Click here to become a “STONE SOUP” sponsor, you may choose either the $5 level of support or the enter the amount of your choosing. Make a Commemorative Gift You can make a gift to PIP to commemorate a special event such as a birthday or anniversary of a family member or special friend.  Just make your gift at the donations page and send us an e-mail at info@PIPHaiti.org to let us know the occasion and person you want to remember. PIP will send an acknowledgement to you (for tax purposes) and a separate special acknowledgement to the person you designate in honor of the special occasion! Make a Memorial Gift You can make a gift to PIP in memory of a friend or loved one. Just make your gift at the donations page and send us an email at info@PIPHaiti.org telling us in whose memory you’re making the gift.  You will receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes and the person you designate will receive a separate specialized acknowledgement. Make a Gift of Securities One of the most advantageous ways to donate is to give a gift of stock.  You can give appreciated stock to Partners in Progress simply by transferring them into our account. Organize an Event If you would like to organize a fund raising event (such as a speaker, slide presentation, silent auction, or craft sale) to benefit PIP send us an email at info@PIPHaiti.org or call us at 724.238.9204 and we’ll try to help with the organization and in any other ways we can! Host a House Party A simple but effective way to raise money for PIP projects is to host a house party for your friends or neighbors in your own home.  Successful house parties don’t require elaborate preparations or expensive refreshments.  Rather they depend on your enthusiasm for PIP’s work and your willingness to share information about PIP’s work! Make an “in kind” Gift PIP is occasionally able to accept “in kind” gifts but only if they are useful for projects in Haiti or the PIP office.. Used computers and other office equipment (such as copy machines, printers, scanners, digital projectors) may be useful.  Laboratory equipment and school or office supplies may also be useful.
