Fondwa rectory project moves forward. The village of Fondwa, Haiti is the focus of much of the work of Partners in Progress, the parent organization of Rich in Mercy. The majority of people of the region are Catholics and the parish church of St. Antoine is at the heart of the region and a center of much community activity. The catholic faithful of Fondwa lack a resident priest, however, because the rectory that would house the priest remains unfinished.  A recent development grant of $2000 from Rich in Mercy will help move the construction of the rectory in Fondwa towards completion.  This grant will enable the completion of construction on at least two rooms complete with doors, windows, and other fixtures.  Additional construction is planned, but once this phase of construction is completed the parish will petition Archbishop Serge Miot to send them a pastor!  Contributions to the “Fondwa Rectory Fund” can be made on the RIM donations page or by sending a check made out to “Partners in Progress” with RIM Rectory Project on the memo line to: Partners in Progress,  329 N.
