The “Hope for Haiti” slide presentation can be adapted to various audiences, formats, and time frames. It gives an introduction to the land and people of Haiti with an overview of the present day situation and shows many of the ways Rich in Mercy and Partners in Progress are helping people in Haiti help themselves overcome lifetimes of misery, decades of environmental degradation, and chronic scarcity of resources.

The “Just World” seminar gives an introduction to the principles underlying a just society as found in the social teaching of the mainline Christian churches and especially in the Roman Catholic tradition.  It is a program divided into 4 one-hour presentations that can be done in one day or in 4 one-hour sessions spread over a month or a week of evening or daytime meetings.  These are especially suitable for adult education classes or for parish social justice or social concerns committees that want to learn and understand more about Catholic Social Teaching.

The “Who is My Neighbor” seminar is based on the third major part of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (“Life in Christ”) that deals with moral theology.  It’s emphasis is on the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church and the implications of Catholic Social Teaching for global solidarity and for building a “civilization of love” in opposition to the “culture of death” which describes much of American society and much of the society of the “first world”.
